Help

Frequently asked questions.

Quick answers about what the Opportunity Hub is, which platforms it covers, how details can change, and how to apply safely.

  • Is the Opportunity Hub an application platform?

No. The Hub is a directory of trusted opportunity platforms. Applications are completed directly through the organisation or platform providing the opportunity.

  • Does being listed on the Hub guarantee I will be selected?

No. The organisation providing the opportunity manages all applications and selection decisions. The Opportunity Hub cannot guarantee employment, funding, admission or participation.

  • Where do the platforms come from?

The Hub lists reviewed platforms, organisations and networks that publish opportunities across Africa. Anyone can also recommend a platform for our editors to review.

  • Can opportunity details change?

Yes. Providers may change a deadline, requirement, location or application link. The official provider’s website should always be treated as the final source of information.

  • What should I do if a link is broken or a platform has changed?

Let us know what you found and we will review and update the platform entry. The official platform’s own website should always be treated as the final source of information.

  • Can I submit a single opportunity directly?

The Hub is a directory of platforms rather than individual opportunities, so we don’t list single opportunities. If you run or know a good platform, recommend it and our editors will review it.

  • Is it safe to apply through a platform listed on the Hub?

The Hub never manages applications itself, so never pay a fee to apply, and never share banking details, passwords or ID documents with anyone claiming to guarantee you a place. Always apply through the official link on the platform.
